Well, the 80s for many people, represent an era that they would like to forget. You know, looking at photos,thinking you used to look ridiculous in those colourful, huge clothes. But come on, let's face it: the 70s-80s era rules!!!!
Nicholas Ghesquiere for the Balenciaga Pre-fall 2012 Collection imagined a woman of that era in France. I don't think this could describe that collection better. Just tell me what do you think of when you look at that pink blouse with that geometrci print??? O r that hair??? Not mention the colours!
However, he managed not to look retro. And that's all thanks to both the contemporary materials used and the -always- impeccable tayloring of the designer.
There are two things, we are sure of:
1st: Nicholas Ghesquiere proves that he is able of maintaining his collections season after season in high level.
2nd: Everyone are looking forward to the next Balenciaga collection.
